On Wednesday, July 3, 2025, at River Grove Children’s Island, we celebrated one of the most important US holidays – USA Independence Day / 4th of July. All the children came dressed in the colors of the American flag that day. At 10:15 AM, we gathered in the main hallway and listened to the United States national anthem. Then, escorted by the River Grove Police, with US flags in hand, we participated in the Parade. The staff at Rich’s Deli gave the children a pleasant surprise by handing out lollipops to all of them. After the parade, we all gathered at our playground and started a picnic: hot dogs, lemonade, relaxation, and smiles accompanied us at River Grove Children’s Island on the eve of this important holiday.
