* Do not humiliate your child: because they, just like you, have a strong sense of their own dignity.<\/p>\n\n

* Try not to use methods that you yourself did not accept in your childhood.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

* Allow your child to make choices as often as possible.<\/p>\n\n

* If you have behaved improperly towards your child, apologize to them and explain yourself. Do not be afraid of losing authority; the child already knows when you make mistakes. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

* Never speak ill of your child, especially in the presence of others.<\/p>\n\n

* Do not say \u201cdo it because I say so\u201d – if you must forbid something, always justify it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

* If you are giving commands to your child, try not to stand over them and speak \u201cfrom a position of authority\u201d.<\/p>\n\n

* You don’t have to be consistent at all costs. And you don’t have to agree with another adult against your child if you know they were wrong. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

* When you don’t know how to act, think about how you would feel as a child. <\/p>\n\n

* Try to be your own child’s advocate sometimes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

* Be a kind, cheerful, patient guide and companion to your child in their school troubles.<\/p>\n\n

* Try to understand your child: their needs, capabilities, and limitations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

* Try to observe as early as possible if your child has difficulties, what they consist of, and what causes them – clarify your doubts, discuss your observations through consultation with a psychologist, speech therapist, pedagogue, and, if necessary, a doctor.<\/p>\n\n

* Try to help your child – observe during daily work with your child what is most effective for overcoming their difficulties: if necessary, use literature and professional help from a teacher-therapist, speech therapist (in the form of individual or group therapy).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

* Stay in constant contact with your child’s teacher and school pedagogue.<\/p>\n\n

* Praise and reward your child not so much for the results of their work, but for the effort they put into it, and make working with your child enjoyable for both of you.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n
